State-of-the-art E-gates for Document Control have been Put into Operation at Riga Airport

From 20 October, the new e-gates for checking passenger boarding passes will start operating at the terminal of Riga Airport, which will improve the quality and speed of passenger service when heading for a flight.

By improving the technological provision of Riga Airport, four e-gates for document control have been replaced at the departures terminal, thus technically modernizing and speeding up passenger service and reducing the need for manual document inspection.

"Modern passenger access control equipment is part of the Airport’s security system, and it is important to maintain it in the appropriate quality so that our passengers receive fast, secure and high-quality Airport services," says Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Airport Board.

Equipment modernization – purchase, installation and warranty service costs account for 83 thousand euros, which the Airport covers from its own funds. The equipment is supplied by the French manufacturer “Impression Enregistre Resultat SAS”. The previous boarding pass control e-gates have been used for almost ten years.
